WEDDING MAKEUP | The Killer Queen Signature Style
Finding the right stylist to do your hair and makeup can seem like a marathon effort.
Below I’ve outlined the Killer Queen style and the type of brides that gravitate towards me- so you can get a sense for what I offer and what I can bring to your day!
When it comes to finding the right makeup artist and hair stylist for your big day, there are many things to consider- and it goes beyond simply how well they do makeup and hair, or how much they cost.
Its important to find someone whose work resonates with your style, and the kind of look you are thinking for your big day. You want your stylist to specialise in the look you want so that you can be confident they’ll deliver.
If you're a traditional bride looking for classic, high end makeup and really intricate styled hair, you'll want to find someone who specialises in that kind of work.
If you're a boho bride who likes to look really natural with barely-there makeup and beachy waves, again, look for someone who does a lot of that work rather than someone who does all-out glam.
Below are some of the styles Killer Queen specialise in so you can be confident in finding a perfect match.
Makeup styles we LOVE and do really well!
Killer Queen specialise in modern, fresh makeup looks that bring out the best of your natural beauty and style!
Our brides are modern with a rebellious edge; they do things their own way and aren’t afraid to experiment with a bold red lip,a hint of gliiter, or a splash of colour!
We love doing looks that are bold but with a bit of a natural edge. Think fresh, beautiful glowing skin with a hint of freckles. Bold, bright lips with lots of lashes and natural looking brows. A soft, warm smokey eye with a pared back lip but a dramatic flick of liner.
Things we don’t specialise in? Insta-glam looks. Really thick, heavy, caked on makeup. Makeup that is aint by numbers and makes you look like someone else entirely. That’s not our jam.
We love making the most of your best assets! And we don’t really specialise in classic or barely there looks- we like a bit of an edge. Makeup shold be fun and express your personality. If that’s you, wer’e going to get along like a house on fire!
Our hair philosophy
Similarly to makeup, we love styling hair so that it looks like you, but better! We specialise in low-key styling and casual syles that give you that ‘ just woke up like this’ vibe.
Think low messy buns, textured low ponies with a bit of volume. We don’t do fussy styles and we don’t do those intricate, overly ‘clean’ styles that look like a helmet. They’re just not for us!
Give us lived-in, sexy hair that looks like you got up to adventures.
We love a little bit of imperfection and our philosphy is that your hair should embody your personality- we love something a little lived in, fun and fuss-free.
