Recently I approached some passionate creatives I am lucky enough to know, and asked them if they wanted to take part in a self portrait project called W O M X N IN ISO.
The idea was inspired by the 'Nashville Queers in Quarantine’ portrait series by photographer Em Dash.
I've been feeling passionately about how this situation is impacting us all; particularly the womxn I know who are juggling businesses, creative pursuits, kids, homeschooling and other priorities. This fuelled by an innate need to create a sense of community and connection between the amazing womxn creatives I know.
I feel it's so important to share stories and maintain the sense of connection in our creative community.
We need the chan to reflect on where we are right now, and share our emotions and experiences.
Even though life is weird AF right now, we are still growing, transforming & planning to change the world- however different it will be on the flip side.
Continuing my series of passionate womxn in isolation; today I'm sharing the self portraits and story of my amazing friend, collaborater and massive inspiration@emjensencreative, and her experience of life in lockdown.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒅𝒐?
I take retro-inspired photos on film of roadtrip adventures, alternative fashion and untraditional weddings.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕’𝒔 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒚𝒐𝒖’𝒗𝒆 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒅 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒇 𝒅𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒔𝒐?
I’ve realised how much photographing people inspires my work. I’m trying to create projects from my apartment - still lifes and self portraits, and it’s definitely been a new learning experience, but photographing and collaborating with other creatives is definitely what fuels me.⠀⠀⠀
